Australia is poised to be a leader in the rapidly growing MedTech sector. In the report, our CEO, Dr Yujing Lim, highlights our pivotal role in regenerative medicine – creating biomimetic and bioresorbable polymer implants for neurosurgical, orthopaedic, and maxillofacial surgery across 25 countries.

Leveraging 3D printing technology, we've now created more than 100,000 global implants, demonstrating our commitment to meaningful patient outcomes despite the global challenges facing the MedTech sector. At Osteopore, one of our guiding principles is the value of collaboration. We believe that it is foundational to success and are always seeking to learn from and add value to our partners.

That’s why we were thrilled when in November, Osteopore was announced as one of the recipients of the SIP Green Lane Grant, which has been established by the Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee.

The Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) began as a joint venture between China and Singapore, first launched in 1994, as a project intended to foster collaboration between the two countries.

It’s an industrial township within the city of Suzhou, located within China’s Jiangsu province. The genesis of the township was born from China’s interest in Singapore’s development model and public administration experience, and Singapore’s interest in China as a key market for regionalisation – and has been profitable since 2001.

Together with Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the Suzhou Industrial Park established the Green Lane Grant, which is designed to assist Singaporean deep tech enterprises to anchor their operations in China by starting up in the SIP.

The grant was announced at the annual meeting of the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council, with attendees from both government and enterprise, giving all involved the opportunity to become more acquainted with business opportunities in Jiangsu and network with each other.

As a result of the grant, Osteopore will be setting up an office at the A*STAR Partners’ Centre in Suzhou. This will be our staging point towards registration with the National Medical Products Administration.

In addition to our products’ approvals in Hainan province, where we are already shipping products and preparing for surgery, this represents a major step in Osteopore’s increased presence in China and around the world.

And while building an increased presence in China is very important for our business, it also means more people will eventually have access to our life-changing medical devices.

Beyond that, it’s also part of our mission to build a collaborative working environment with businesses and governments right around the world.
